Steve Kelly is currently VP Operations for Occidental Mukhaizna, with overall responsibility for the development and operation of one of the largest steamfloods in the world. He has been with Occidental for over 15 years, starting as a Facilities engineer in Qatar. His experience ranges from offshore engineering and construction, through business development and onshore heavy oil operations management. Steve has a BSc (Eng) in Chemical Engineering from University College London.

Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Samir, started his career working as a reservoir engineer with Petrobel (Egypt), from there he moved on to ADCO (UAE) in 2006 as a Senior Reservoir Manager. After which he joined Schmitar as a reservoir developmental Manager in 2007, currently he is the petroleum engineering manager at sahara oil and gas company (Egypt). Dr Mohamed Samir graduated in petroleum engineering from the suez canal university in 1991, then went on to pursue his studies by acquiring his diploma in Production Engineering in 1994, MSC In surfactant Flooding, PHD in Enhanced Oil recovery & his MPA in 2008. He has published over 20 papers in reservoir management & Enhanced Oil Recovery.

TIREK He got his B.S. degree from Middle East Technical University in 1979 and M.S. degree from Texas A&M University in 1982 both in Petroleum Engineering. He joined to TPAO in 1983 as a project engineer in Bati Raman Enhanced Oil Recovery Project in Batman and promoted to Deputy District Manager of Batman in 1996 and left for Kazakhstan in 1998. He worked as Operations Director of Kazakturkmunay LTD, which is a JV company of TPAO and Kazmunaygas from 1998 to 2004. He was project manager of Kuzey Marmara and Degirmenkoy Underground Natural Gas Storage project from March 2004 to January 2008. He is Director of TPAO Production Department since January 2008 and board member of Kazakturkmunay LTD since October 2005. He is married and four children. As a director of production department he is responsible from operation of oil and gas fields of TPAO in Turkey, operation, maintenance and renewal of surface facilities as well as construction of new surface facilities. TPAO operates 4 small size offshore gas production platforms and construction of new one is underway. He is also responsible from operation, maintenance of 2.1 BCM capacity underground gas storage facilities and construction of new ones.

György Palásthy is graduated from Technical University of Miskolc, Hungary as M.Sc. in petroleum engineering in 1987. He has postgraduate education in economics and management focusing on reserve and field development issues. He joined MOL (Hungarian Oil and Gas Co.) as a reservoir engineer in 1989. He is specialized in oil and gas condensate field development, horizontal well application, gas injection processes and reservoir management and technology. Different positions in reservoir engineering and field development department of MOL.He was the manager of field development at MOL Pakistan between 2003 and 2005. In the period of 2005-2007 he was the asset manager at MOL Central-European E&P region. In 2007 he moved to a new position at MOL E&P Division as a Director of Integrated Field Applications and Chief Technology Officer.

He is author and co-author of several SPE papers, chair of SPE Hungarian Section and member of Hungarian Mining Society.

Laura Soares is a Reservoir Engineer with 22 years experience working with Partex Oil & Gas in areas such as Reservoir Simulation, Well Testing, Field Development, Waterflood and recently EOR Gas Injection, in a multidisciplinary environment for OPCOs in Khazaquistan, Algeria, Brasil, Abu Dhabi and Oman. Currently she is a Partex representative to the Technical Committee Shareholder in Oman and Algeria and responsible for following Microbial EOR Project and Gas Injection Projects in Partex.

Torsten Clemens worked in Shell on various reservoir engineering topics such as recovery of heavy oil, fractured reservoirs and EOR. In 2005, he joined OMV E&P as senior reservoir engineering adviser. He authored more than 30 technical papers. In 2010, he received the SPE regional award for Reservoir Description and Dynamics. He is a member of the SPE ATCE and SPE EUROPEC program committee and the chairman of the IEA EOR initiative

Dr. Seyed Mousa Mousavi is a Research officer and PHD candidate for the EOR centre of University Teknologi PETRONAS. He has been working for about 7 years (2002-2009) as a Senior Engineer in Research and Technology (R&T) directorate of National Iranian Oil Company based in Tehran. His area of expertise is EOR and Heavy oil. He is working on WAG (Water Alternating Gas) optimization project. He has been involved in several projects in Complex carbonate reservoirs and has published several papers on this subject. He has a patent on new oil base mud formula suitable for carbonate and active shale formations.

Jules Reed is currently Technical Director Core Services for Weatherford Laboratories' global operations. He has over 20 years experience in the field of core analysis, with the more recent years (8.5 years) as Chief Engineer for Weatherford Laboratories' Trondheim facility, specialising in study management for relative permeability and enhanced oil recovery. Jules' knowledge extends across all aspects of core analysis, from wellsite applications to analyses influencing field development. Jules is currently president of the Society of Core Analysts (a chapter-at-large of the SPWLA) and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and former chair of the Trondheim section.

Rashid Al-Masfry Obtained a BEng in Civil and Structural Engineering from Bradford University (U.K) and an MSC in Petroleum Engineering from Delft University (Netherlands). In 1996, He joined PDO as a Civil Engineering Construction Engineer/Supervisor in Qarn Alam Cluster. After two years, he moved to Petroleum Engineering function where he went to a Rig site for one year before he became a Production Technologist in south, While in south, he became the corporate coordinator for new technologies for water management and waterflood projects. In 2003, Rashid moved to Shell international in Netherlands where he joined Shell's R&D group and performed IOR/EOR researches/studies for global Shell OUs. After 3 years in the Shell's Center, he became the integrated subsurface team leader for new business development team and supported business development effort for the wider MENA region. In 2007, Rashid moved back to PDO as the WRM (Well and Reservoir Management) team leader for Marmul Cluster (south of PDO) and followed- up the subsurface aspect of Marmul Cluster including the ongoing Polymer injection(Chemical EOR). In 2008, Rashid moved out to establish an independent company by the name of Marjan Petroleum with the mission of providing integrated subsurface and unique solutions, core and fluid/gas analysis, well optimization and implementation of new technological solutions for E&P Clients such as PDO, OXY, Daleel, etc. Rashid also supports the Omani Research Council (Grant Committee member) initiative by providing steering support and approval of key independent research programs that aim to build research capacity.

Steve Coffee is the Business Development Manager for Enerscope Systems Inc., a Canadian based supplier of equipment and engineering support for the Oil & Gas industry. Steve has 17 year of filtration experience in the international market, with a focus on solids-from-liquid filtration for upstream and offshore production. He received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Economics from CSU, Fresno and is a member of the Produced Water Society and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Other: Six Sigma Certified, Yellow Belt and Green Belt; Board of Directors, Fresno International Trade Association; Bill Buck Award, Claude Laval Corporation; Habitat for Humanity, Student Awareness Marketing systems.

Michael Brady is Vice President, Enhanced Oil Recovery. He has executive responsibility for all aspects of the division's sales, marketing, commercial negotiation, performance modeling and costing. His primary responsibility involves management for the EOR business unit.
Mr. Brady has been a member of IST's senior management team since 2002 and an employee of IST since 1997. Prior to joining IST's senior management team, Mr. Brady worked and lived in Europe on behalf of IST and was employed as an area sales manager, where he gained extensive negotiation and international business development experience in the power industry. Mr. Brady's area of expertise lies with commercial contract negotiations, capital equipment marketing, sales team development, and international business development. Mr. Brady has worked in the manufacturing and boiler industry, on an international basis, for 14 years.
Mr. Brady holds a Professional Engineering License, a Bachelor of Engineering Science from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.

A 1994 batch B.E.(Petroleum Engineering) honours graduate from Sultan Qaboos University, Mr. Hilal Al Busaidy started his career with oilfield services major and industry leader M/s Schlumberger as Field Engineer in 1994 in Oman. Over the next 8 years he worked in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman and gained experience in exploration well logging, managing the wireline, testing, TCP and coiled tubing activities, client support services and sales & marketing. During his eventful career of 8 years in Schlumberger, he won several Chairman's awards. In 2002, Mr. Hilal Al Busaidy left Schlumberger to start his own ventures, the first of which were in the role of co-promoter and working partner of two entities viz., Falcon Oilfield Services LLC (the first Omani Wireline Logging Company), and Integrated Petroleum Services Company LLC. This was followed by formation of Gulf Energy (GE) wherein he became a working partner and donned the role of Chief Executive Officer. Besides running the business of the GE Group, he is also a Director on the Board of Medco LLC.

A 1995 batch B.E.(Mechanical Engineering) honours graduate from University of Brighton,United Kingdom, and a 2003 batch MBA from University of Lincoln, United Kingdom, Mr.Yasser Al Barami started his career in the drilling operations of the oil major, Petroleum Development Oman as Assistant Drilling Supervisor in 1997 and over the next 8 years worked as Team Leader for Well Engineering & Service Contracts department wherein he was instrumental in developing well engineering asset contracting strategies for 2003, 2004 & 2005 and oversaw operational asset and related expenditure of USD 750 Million p.a. In 2005, Mr. Yasser Al Barami left PDO to start his own venture and became a working partner and Chief Commercial Officer of GE.

Jan Nieuwerf holds an MSc in Geology from Utrecht University. He joined Shell in 1991 and worked as geologist and development team leader on a large range of oil and gas development projects including Shell UK (Central Business Unit), Shell Norway, Shell Malaysia, Shell E&P Asia, Venezuela, Brunei (Seria chemical EOR), Russia (Salym chemical EOR) and NAM in the Netherlands (Schoonebeek East Polymer injection). Jan has a deep knowledge of Chemical EOR including, Low Salinity- Polymer- and Surfactant flooding. He is also an accredited facilitator and senior project leader having lead multi disciplinary teams of 35 people. In 2010 Jan joined SGS Horizon in order to broaden the already wide portfolio with chemical EOR.

Dr. Harry Chang has over 40 years of experience in Chemical EOR research and development, field implementation, and project evaluation with major US oil companies. Harry started his career with Mobil R&D Center and worked in the laboratory for 8 years in Surfactant-Polymer, Alkaline, and Polymer Flooding recovery mechanisms and pilot test designs. He then spent another 8 years with Cities Service company and managed two micellar-polymer flooding projects in Kansas from the late 1970's through the early 80's. After joining ARCO Research Center in 1983, Harry managed a group of technical staff in miscible gas process research until he was assigned to manage the ARCO China office in 1994 in Beijing. After retiring from ARCO China in 1996, Harry started a consulting firm, Intratech, Inc. and provided consulting services in EOR for several US and International companies. He has designed and assisted the implementation of chemical EOR processes such as Polymer, Alkaline-Surfactant-Polymer (ASP), and Surfactant Polymer (SP) flooding field test in the US and China throughout his entire career with emphasis in chemical EOR projects with Chinese oil fields including Daqing, Shengli, Karamay, and offshore fields in the Bohai Bay area and gained enormous information and experience from EOR projects in the last 15 years. Harry joined the China Oilfield Technology Services Group, Limited (COT) in 2009 as the president of Chemor Tech International, LLC., an subsidiary of COT based in Plano, Texas, USA.
